The hippopotamus is a semi aquatic mammal that lives in Africa. You can find these creatures at rivers or lakes.They are one of the strongest animals having a bite force of 2000 lbs, this creature can practically split you in half! Not only that, they can also run up to 30 mph! That’s almost as fast as a horse! Their also known as one of the most durable animals with a 2inch hide they can even withstand a pack of lions. While yes they are herbivores usually feeding on grass, they are very territorialĀ  and wont think twice to split you in half with their 20 inch teeth!Not only that but their biteforce is strong enough to shatter bone!Did you know, hippos have webbed feet? Except, they don’t actually swim, they walk on the ground in the water.The reason they have webbed feet is so they can move a bit more faster while their in the water. They do go under water sometimes, and impressively they can stay under water for over 5 minutes! Hippos may not get the spotlight as much as elephants or lions.
